Episode Summary

Today, we’re going to discuss “Die Trying,” the fifth episode for Season 3 of Star Trek: Discovery. Possessing the coordinates for Federation and Starfleet headquarters after their trip to the Trill homeworld, Saru dictates his first official captain’s log and prepares to report for duty with his new Number One, Michael Burnham. The pair ponder what they will find upon their arrival, and the first officer expresses an interest in inquiring about the fate of her mother, Dr. Gabrielle Burnham. Concealed behind a distortion field for security purposes, the Federation outpost presents the Discovery with their most desired destination in the 32nd Century.
